This appeal involves the legality of a warrantless search conducted at a permanent U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint. Appellant/defendant Mario Ramos Vargas, Jr. (Vargas) challenges the trial court's refusal to suppress 188 pounds of marijuana seized as fruit of a warrantless search of his vehicle at the checkpoint.
