The defendant appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of assault in the second degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-60 (a) (3), as a lesser included offense of assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-59 (a) (1). The defendant claims that the trial court improperly (1) ruled that certain evidence was inadmissible, and (2) failed to instruct as he requested on the defense of property...
