Defendant Tyrone Robinson was charged by indictment No. 91 CR. 19570 with armed violence and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. After a bench trial, defendant was convicted of both armed violence (720 ILCS 5/33-1 (1992)) and possession of a controlled substance (720 ILCS 570/401 (1992)) and sentenced to six years in prison.
