On December 3, 1992, defendant was arraigned on a charge of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree (Penal Law § 265.01 [1]) and the case was adjourned to January 8, 1993 for a ballistics report. On January 8, no ballistics report was forthcoming and the case was adjourned to February 9. On January 15, the People served a copy of the ballistics report, a statement of readiness...
