The defendant-appellant Eugene Hutch appeals his convictions, following two unrelated jury trials, of theft in the second degree, terroristic threatening in the second degree, and assault in the third degree. On appeal, Hutch urges that: (1) his constitutional right to self-representation was violated in both trials; (2) he was denied due process of law and a fair trial in Cr. No. 90-0277 (No. 15143) because (a) the trial judge questioned the prosecution...
