A jury convicted appellant Robert Jones, Jr., of possession of heroin with intent to distribute. See D.C.Code § 33-541(a)(1) (1988 Repl.). The trial court sentenced him to five to fifteen years of imprisonment, with a mandatory minimum of four years.
