STATE v. BOSTICK

No. CR 93-314.

856 S.W.2d 12 (1993)

313 Ark. 596

STATE of Arkansas, Appellant, v. John BOSTICK, Appellee.

Supreme Court of Arkansas.

June 28, 1993.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

Clint Miller, Asst. Atty. Gen., Little Rock, for appellant.

Thomas D. Deen, Dermott, for appellee.

DUDLEY, Justice.

The Lake Village Municipal Court dismissed a misdemeanor charge pending against appellee Bostick. The dismissal was premised on the lack of a speedy trial. The State attempted to appeal to the Circuit Court of Chicot County. The circuit court ruled that it did not have jurisdiction to hear such an appeal by the State. The State now appeals to this court. We affirm the ruling of the circuit court.
