During the early morning hours of December 17, 1989, the defendant walked into the 101st police precinct in Queens and informed the desk officer that he had just killed his wife. The defendant, who appeared a "little bit agitated", added that he had killed his wife because she was "always getting on [his] nerves" and he "couldn't take it anymore".
