This case was heard pursuant to the provisions of section 7443A(b)(3) and Rules 180, 181, and 182.1 Respondent determined a deficiency in petitioners' Federal income tax for 1987 in the amount of $5,575. Respondent also determined additions to tax under section 6653(a)(1)(A) in the amount of $278.75, section 6653(a)(1)(B) in the amount of 50 percent of the interest due on $5,575...
