After a bench trial on the charge of residential burglary (Ill.Rev.Stat.1987, ch. 38, par. 19-3), defendant, Timothy Hager, was found not guilty by reason of insanity. He was conditionally released to the Department of Mental Health (DMH). Shortly after he was placed in a residential treatment halfway house, he left without authorization.
