Defendant Salvador Raya appeals to this court from a conviction of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver in violation of Section 401 of the Controlled Substances Act (Ill.Rev. Stat.1991, ch. 56½, par. 1401(a)(2)(A)). The Circuit Court of Rock Island County entered judgement following a jury trial. Defendant was sentenced to a seven-year term of imprisonment and fined $4,000....
