Michael Jack, defendant and appellant herein, was tried by a jury and convicted of aggravated rape, attempted second degree murder, and aggravated crime against nature. Jack was sentenced to mandatory life imprisonment without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence on the aggravated rape conviction. Additionally, he was sentenced to the maximum sentence of fifteen (15) years at hard labor...
