On September 8, 1988, plaintiff, Debbie Wells ("appellant"), was admitted to defendant Richland Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio, for in-patient psychiatric treatment. Appellant alleged that during this admission she was sexually assaulted on three separate occasions by a Richland Hospital nurse, defendant Michael W. Bowie.
