On July 7, 1989, the plaintiff James E. McIntosh filed a negligence action against several defendants involved in the manufacture, sale and installation of asbestos-containing products used at the plaintiff's jobsite in 1969 and 1970. The plaintiff alleged that exposure to those products caused him to develop asbestosis, which manifested itself in 1988. Three of the defendants, A & M Insulation Company...
