NIEMEYER, Circuit Judge:

Bruce Thomas was convicted of violating 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1), making it unlawful for a person previously convicted of a crime punishable by more than one year in prison to possess a firearm. The district court sentenced Thomas to 280 months imprisonment as an armed career criminal under 18 U.S.C. § 924(e) because it found Thomas had three previous violent felony convictions...
