In this case we are asked to decide whether members of the mass media are entitled to copy a videotape that had been introduced as an exhibit in a criminal trial. The videotape was admitted as evidence against Bernard E. Miller, who was standing trial in the Circuit Court for Howard County for the carjacking murder of Pamela Basu.
