This appeal arises from a medical malpractice action brought by plaintiff Frances Harmon against defendant Jashbhai Patel, M.D., for failure to diagnose and treat a staph and strep infection which allegedly resulted in necrotizing fascitis, thereby necessitating emergency and follow-up surgery.
