Justice CAMPBELL delivered the opinion of the court:

Following a bench trial in the circuit court of Cook County, defendant Adolfo Coss was found guilty of two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Defendant was sentenced to 9 years' imprisonment. Defendant now appeals the denial of his pretrial motion, filed pursuant to Franks v. Delaware (1978), 438 U.S. 154
