Plaintiff, Lori Kuwik, filed an action in the circuit court of Du Page County against defendants Starmark Star Marketing and Administration (Starmark), Benefit Trust Life Insurance Company (Benefit), E. Mitsis (Mitsis) and Arthur J. Fischer (Fischer) (collectively, defendants) for libel. The trial court entered summary judgment for all defendants and plaintiff appealed. The appellate court reversed ((1992),
