On October 4, 1983, defendant retracted his plea of not guilty previously entered and pled guilty to charges of theft, under N.J.S.A. 2C:20-9 and N.J.S.A. 2C:20-4. As part of his sentence, the court placed him on five years probation and ordered him to make full restitution to the victims of his crimes.
