Following a jury trial, defendant Edward Reich was convicted of theft by deception (Ill.Rev.Stat.1987, ch. 38, par. 16-1(b)(1)) and sentenced to three years in prison. The trial court also ordered defendant to pay $57,292.96 in restitution.
