Defendant Richard E. Smith was convicted of bank robbery pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 2113(a) (1988). Defendant appeals both the conviction and the sentence. The record reveals that on May 28, 1992, Defendant entered the Sun Capital Bank and handed the teller a note which read: "This is a robbery. All the money you have now fast." (R.Vol. IV at 5.)
