The plaintiffs Anna Bula and Sigmund Bula commenced the instant action to recover damages for injuries sustained by Anna when she tripped and fell on three cement stairs leading from the defendant's one-family home located in Floral Park, Queens. It was adduced at trial that the staircase was 66 inches wide. Testimony by the plaintiffs' expert witnesses established that, inasmuch as the staircase was wider than 44...
