Richard Flebotte was convicted by a jury of raping his daughter, Dora (not her real name), when she was something over two years old. There was evidence that he had placed his penis in the child's mouth and ejaculated. The jury acquitted the defendant of a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon (it was alleged that he had burned the child with a cigarette) and convicted on an indictment for simple assault...
