The issue here is whether North Carolina or Indiana has jurisdiction to determine custody issues for two minor children born in North Carolina. One child was taken to Indiana by her mother; the other remained in North Carolina with paternal grandparents. The Indiana trial court exercised jurisdiction over both children. The North Carolina trial court granted full faith and credit to the Indiana order as to the child in Indiana and exercised jurisdiction...
