These medical malpractice Wrongful Death (Ill.Rev.Stat.1981, ch. 70, par. 2 (now 740 ILCS 180/2 (West 1992))) and Survival Act (Ill.Rev.Stat.1983, ch. 110½, par. 27-6 (now 755 ILCS 5/27-6 (West 1992))) actions were brought to recover damages occasioned by the alleged negligence of defendant doctors in treating plaintiffs' decedent. The jury rendered a verdict for defendants upon which the court entered the judgment...
