Defendant, Frederick Carter, was charged by separate bills of information with conspiracy to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Pursuant to a plea bargain, defendant pled guilty to the charges of simple possession of cocaine and attempted possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
