Defendant, Edmund Bruce Pettibone, was charged with and convicted by a jury of the aggravated rape of his four-and-one-half-year-old son under LSA-R.S. 14:42(A)(4). Defendant was sentenced to life imprisonment without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence, as mandated by LSA-R.S. 14:42(C). Defendant appeals his conviction.
