Plaintiff City of Lewiston (the City) appeals from a judgment of the Superior Court (Androscoggin County, Delahanty, C.J.) affirming an arbitrator's award in favor of defendant Lewiston Firefighters Association, IAF, Local #785 (the Union), the bargaining agent for firefighters employed by the Lewiston Fire Department. On appeal the City argues that the arbitrator exceeded his authority by impermissibly modifying the collective bargaining...
