The appellant, Thomas Atkisson, was indicted in a two-count indictment, for sodomy in the first degree and for sexual abuse in the first degree. The jury found the appellant guilty as charged in both counts of the indictment. The appellant was sentenced under the Habitual Felony Offender Act. For his conviction of sodomy in the first degree, the appellant was sentenced to life imprisonment and for his conviction of sexual abuse in the first degree...
