Sharron Badie was charged by bill of information with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of La.R.S. 14:95.1. He pled not guilty and filed a motion to quash. Subsequently, the state filed an amended bill, charging Badie with the same offense but expanding the information concerning his prior felony convictions.
