Defendant, Schwegmann Supermarket, appeals a trial court judgment finding the defendant liable for injuries sustained by plaintiff, Barbara Gurley, when she allegedly slipped and fell on a cabbage leaf in an aisle of the supermarket. The case was tried in front of the trial judge, who awarded Ms. Gurley $2,460 ($2,000 for general damages, $460 for medical expenses).
