Defendant, Lorenzo Webb Ford, was charged by bill of information with theft of cash valued over $500.00, which he took from his employer, Sears Roebuck and Company, in Monroe, Louisiana. La.R.S. 14:67B(1). Ford, a salesclerk, filled out false merchandise return tickets and retained the refunded cash. The store's security camera recorded at least one of these transactions. Ford later pled guilty to unauthorized use of a movable valued in excess of $1,000...
