The Board of Education (board) commenced an action for declaratory and injunctive relief in the Supreme Judicial Court for Suffolk County, seeking a declaration that, under G.L.c. 76 (1990 ed.), the school attendance statute, the school committee of Quincy must offer alternative education to an expelled student.
