ROGERS, Chief Judge:

Appellant Johnnie L. Edwards appeals his convictions1 by a jury on the ground that the trial judge erred in denying his motion to suppress the rifle and his statements to the police. He also contends that there was insufficient evidence to convict him in view of the evidence of self-defense. Finding these contentions unpersuasive, we affirm.
