EDWARDS, Judge.

Plaintiff, David LeBlanc, claimed seaman status under the Jones Act, 46 U.S.C.App. § 688, and filed suit against his employer, Dynamic Offshore Contractors, Inc. (Dynamic), and Dynamic's insurer, National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh (Union) for damages plaintiff sustained on or about April 12, 1988, as the result of an injury while working with a Dynamic crew to repair a compressor station owned by Chevron U.S.A., Inc.
