After a jury trial in the Superior Court, the defendant was convicted of armed robbery and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon. The trial judge sentenced the defendant to a term of from twelve to twenty years in the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the armed robbery charge. She imposed a concurrent sentence of from eight to ten years on the other charge. The Appeals...
