Elyria United Methodist Home ("the home") is a nursing care facility for the elderly that employs approximately two hundred fifty employees. Approximately one hundred fifty of those employees were members of the Service, Hospital, Nursing Home and Public Employees' Union, Local 47 ("Local 47").
