Respondent S.L.D., on behalf of himself and his three daughters, sued appellant Benton County for damages arising out of the sexual abuse of the children. Respondent claims Benton County was negligent in failing to conduct "a thorough and complete investigation" after he telephoned his concerns to the county social services agency, and in failing to notify the county sheriff as required...
