John Douglas Thompson appeals from his convictions for possession of cocaine, possession of a firearm while in possession of cocaine, and possession of a firearm after having been convicted of a felony. He alleges that he was subjected to an illegal search and seizure in violation of the fourth amendment, and thus, the trial court erred in denying his motion to suppress the cocaine found on his person and the handgun found in his car.
