On June 2, 1988, the plaintiff, Helen Frohberg, sold her residence in Dover to Joan and Barry Roth for $600,000. Up to the time of the sale, Frohberg maintained a standard homeowner's insurance policy with respect to the premises through the defendant, Merrimack Mutual Fire Insurance Company, covering the period April 6, 1988, to April 6, 1989.
