The conviction of each of the brothers Young, Dion and Frank, on the charge of murder in the second degree2 was the outcome of a series of events that began with a brawl near a 7-Eleven convenience store in Hyannis on June 26, 1990, and ended three weeks later at a birthday party in Barnstable where Anthony Edwards (Tony) was shot dead.
