This appeal arises from the consolidated asbestos personal injury litigation pending in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. The consolidation involves about 8,550 asbestos cases that were either filed in Baltimore City or transferred from the various circuit courts in Maryland to Baltimore City pursuant to Rule 2-327.1

Appellee, Fibreboard Corporation, was one of approximately 100 former manufacturers...
