In this appeal, we consider whether the trial court erred by setting aside a jury verdict in favor of the plaintiff, Mary Carol Loving, for personal injuries she sustained in an automobile accident.

Even though the trial court set the verdict aside, we accord the recipient of a jury verdict the benefit of all substantial conflicts of the evidence and all reasonable inferences that may be drawn therefrom. Therefore, we will state the facts...
