This is an appeal by the State, pursuant to K.S.A. 22-3602(b)(1), from the district court's post-trial order dismissing criminal charges against David Wayne Clovis, setting aside the jury's verdicts, and discharging the defendant. The district court set aside the verdicts and dismissed the charges on the ground that the defendant was denied a speedy trial.
