Joe Louis Lara, defendant, appeals his conviction and sentence imposed for driving while his license was suspended, in violation of K.S.A. 8-262. Defendant contends K.S.A. 8-1739(a), the statute that was the basis for the traffic stop, is unconstitutionally vague; asserts the State failed to prove he was properly notified by the division of motor vehicles that his driver's license had been suspended; and claims the district court imposed an enhanced sentence...
