The petitioner appeals from the judgment of the habeas court dismissing his petition for a writ of habeas corpus. On appeal, the petitioner asserts that the habeas court improperly found that he had received effective assistance of counsel (1) at the guilt-innocence phase of his trial in light of trial counsel's insufficient investigation of possible defenses and witnesses and (2) at his resentencing proceedings.
