A jury convicted Tony Travis Edmond of first degree murder and sentenced him to life imprisonment. After exhausting his state remedies, Edmond petitioned for federal habeas corpus relief pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254 (1988). Edmond asserts that the prosecution, in violation of the state district court's pre-trial Brady order, failed to produce a palmprint of Edmond's companion that, according to Edmond, would have impeached...
