Appellant Alvarez was convicted in the district court below of being previously a convicted felon in possession of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 922(g)(1) and 924(e)(1). The district court imposed a 235 month term of imprisonment, a 5 year term of supervised release, and a $50 special assessment.
