This case concerns the proper application and use of a bequest made to the Yale School of Medicine in the will of Thomas F. Smallman, a physician. Smallman was an alumnus of the Yale School of Medicine, a member of the class of 1905. He died in Brooklyn, New York, in 1928, leaving a will that he had executed a short time prior to his death.
